  1. Is the fire hydrant flow supposed to be 200 gpm? We don’t typically see 2000 gpm from a hydrant.

  1. There are no design qualities or actual quantities in the RFP cost proposal for bid items 2. CUT & 3. FILL, does AJSD have an amount to bid? So, all bidders can dib apple to apple?

The bid package Cost Proposal sheet has been amended to include the estimated quantities (Cut: 26,417.03 & Fill: 920.02) and has been uploaded to the District website allowing for competitive bidding. The supporting measurements can be found in the Project Drawings on sheet 5 of 11 or page 18 of the Bid Package.

  1. What are acceptable working hours while on the SMCFD property during Construction?

  2. Are there compaction requirements for the proposed recharge basins, floors and slopes?

  3. Is the Hydrant Meter being provided by SMCFD throughout project duration or will this be the selected contractor responsibility to provide?

  4. Please confirm if the bid quantity includes the Phase 2 Basin 12 for construction in this bidding phase. It’s been identified on the plans that there are different volume of cuts for (Basins 8-11) and (Basins 8-12).

The District does not have a construction budget.

Union requirements do not apply. The project is subject to ARPA requirements as outlined in the bid packet.
